Mission Information

• Who:  Born again, baptized followers of Jesus Christ that are in healthy fellowship with a local church and agree with, or not an theological conflict with, our Statement of Faith and Gospel message are encouraged to minister alongside us.  (Men and women are encouraged to come out and spread the Gospel, however open-air proclamation is limited to Biblically qualified men only*.)  Please REGISTER below by clicking the DTM logo.

• What | The Mission:  We will proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ from the Holy Scriptures through open-air preaching*, pass out Gospel tracts, and initiate Gospel conversations so that unbelievers are given an opportunity to respond to the only Gospel that saves, and believers are encouraged by hearing Truth.

• Where

  • Meetup Location:  We meet in the parking lot behind Starbucks off Causeway Blvd. in nearby Metairie, LA, 4 hours before game time.  (If game starts at 12pm, meet at Starbucks at 8am.)  Many team members travel from at least an hour away so it's a good spot to use the bathroom and grab one last cup of coffee before heading out.  Save the Google Maps Starbucks address in your phone here.   If you're coming in from out of town for multi-day ministry, and would like affordable housing, please see Lodging Option 1 below.

  • Parking:  We carpool over to the closest parking lot which is Premium Parking - P250 @ 1001 Loyola Ave.  If God has blessed you, there is a suggested donation of $5 per person for parking.  If you are running behind, you may find parking at any of the nearby parking lots and meet us out there on the street whenever you are able.  Parking rates on game day are typically $20-$35 for 4 hours.

  • Ministry Location:  At the 4 corners of Loyola Ave. & Girod St., one block away from the Super Dome, where thousands of sports fans will walk toward the Dome from their parking/tail-gating areas.  If you're coming in from out of town for multi-day ministry and desire a more immersive experience in downtown NOLA, please see Lodging Option 2 below.

  • Good to Know:  Bathrooms available at the Greyhound Bus Station near Ministry Location.

• When:  We will minister for approx. 3 hours before game time and stop preaching at kickoff, returning to the parking lot.

• Items You Must Bring:  Holy Bible, pen, notepad, and bottles of water.  (Gospel tracts will be provided for you free of charge.)

  • Items That Are Not Necessary, But Helpful:  Voice amplifier, your own Gospel tracts, Scripture signs, consider purchasing a DTM Tshirt in our online store.

• Travel Logistics:  Any lodging and/or transportation issues can probably be worked out if you reach out to DTM at least one week in advance of ministry date.
